You’re thirteen. All you want is a normal life. But most normal kids don’t need heart transplants.

So there’s this doctor. He says there’s a chance for you. But he also says it’s experimental, controversial and risky. And it’s never been done before.

Shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, this is a powerful, thought-provoking story from Malorie Blackman.

  6. This is an amazing book. this is also a heart rendering book filled with the harsh reality somebody would face, if they had a Pig Heart. It is also a sad book as of all the abuse the Kelsey family have gotten- especially Cameron. Cameron is an ordinary young boy that needs a heart to live- only its from a pig and for that he should get tormented? No!

  7. I love this book – it was exciting and interesting!
One of my favourite parts of the book was when we found out that Mum was having a baby.
I would really like to be able to watch Pig Heart Boy on the tv but I can’t find it on You Tube.

  11. I am completely in love with this book! I borrowed it from the library because my friend recommended it, and I finished it in an hour (an hour that was very well spent!)! It is a sorrowful story, makes my feel sympathy for Cameron (the main character) and it raised my awareness for people with problems around the world. I am definitely buying this book for my library at home. Thank you so much Malorie, please keep writing wonderful books!
    Thank you.
