You’re thirteen. All you want is a normal life. But most normal kids don’t need heart transplants.

So there’s this doctor. He says there’s a chance for you. But he also says it’s experimental, controversial and risky. And it’s never been done before.

Shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal, this is a powerful, thought-provoking story from Malorie Blackman.

  4. Pig heart boy is an enigmatic thriller containing high levels of emotion, and loads of drama.
It is a great novel because it really never stops making you think about what happens next, artfully making it nearly unputdownable.
I think it takes an interesting and very engaging twist, that, again makes you really put thought into the book.
It has an anti-climatic ending that acts as both a cliff-hanger and a wrap up of everything in the book, so Malorie can easily write a sequel-although I wander to think what would be in it- (another sign of prowess)
Finally I would recommend this great novel to any reader who loves a very engaging read.
    Thank You

  5. i loved this book although i lost it whilst i was at the end, oops well id love to buy it again but no where has it, could u please tell me somewhere where sells them?

  6. My first book I read from Malorie Blackman was Noughts & Crosses. When I finished reading one of her books, I had the desire to read more of her books. I loved at the beginning of Pig Heart Boy when she made the first beginning of the scene sound so intense. It made the reader get more engrossed and wanting to find out what was happening. Blackman writes a unique story of a young teenage boy, she uses her imagination to get to the feeling of how an actual teenager would feel if he or she had to get a heart transplant from a pig! My school library is full of varieties of books from Malorie Blackman. I look forward to reading more of her books! She truly has won my heart in reading.

  7. I used to never read books, I hated them! Until one day I had picked up ANTIDOTE by Malorie Blackman, and quite liked it. Then I heard about her other books like pig heart boy, etc. I LOVED IT! I couldn’t put it down. By this, I was shocked myself. All i’m saying, is this was the best book I’ve ever read!

  8. Heart poundingly scary. I wonder how Cameron really felt when Dr Bryce said yes he would give Cameron the first transplant. Fantastic
